Objective
What if the Winter 2038 Olympics were hosted in Stockholm, Sweden?
This case study highlights the beauty of Stockholm folk art integrated in the logo and applied throughout various forms of media, adorning the beautiful and chilly city of Stockholm.
Synopsis
Sweden has vast natural landscapes making it an ideal country for winter sports that they are already known for such as ice hockey, alpine/cross country skiing, snowboarding and dog sledding.

When doing research, I discovered a new term that encapsulates the essence of what Sweden is. Allemansrätten is a term that means right of public access, and this allows anyone to roam freely in the countryside, swim or travel by boat in someone else's waters, and pick mushrooms or berries in the forest.
Taking this into consideration, most of my sketches were inspired by this connection to nature and the floral patterns often seen in common Swedish designs and textiles. Other common motifs include flowers, leaves, vines, and, most importantly, the Dala horse, which I based the final logo on.
